With over a decade of experience in early childhood education, I've found my true passion lies in nurturing young minds within smaller, family-focused settings. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, I spent several years in preschools before embracing the warmth and intimacy of home-based care. My experience working with children from diverse backgrounds and my own journey as a parent to a child with special needs have deepened my understanding of the unique needs and strengths of each child. I believe in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, respected, and empowered to explore their own unique learning path. It's a privilege to support young minds and be a part of the village that helps families thrive.
My passion for early childcare began early, from babysitting to teacher aide to nannying, both in NZ and the UK. Despite exploring other industries, I've always returned to caring for young children, whether as a mother or with family, finding deep joy in nurturing their growth. I am fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to work in some special needs areas and have experience in babies and young children with cleft lip and cleft palate, Hirschsprung's Disease, colostomy bags and other toileting issues and mobility and speech delay. I also have experience with Montessori. I have a very deep strong passion and love for all things children, I am a very caring, fun loving and creative person who you will often see engaging with tamariki down at their level, creating and making learning activities with the tamariki to help them learn, grow and develop. What I can offer you and your tamariki, is a safe, warm, inclusive and loving "home away from home" environment filled with endless learning opportunities, from life skills, baking and cooking through play, arts and craft activities, reading, outdoor play, outings and real life experiences to help give them the best possible start.
Hi, I’m Tracey, and I’m delighted to be your child’s home-based educator! I cherish the time I get to spend nurturing preschoolers right here in my cozy home environment. My passion lies in helping little ones explore the world around them, particularly through the gentle lens of animals. By interacting with our furry friends, children learn empathy, kindness, and connection. It’s truly rewarding to support their growth and curiosity in such a loving and engaging way.
At Curious Little Explorers, we believe that our educators are the heart and soul of our service. They bring passion, dedication, and a genuine love for learning to every interaction with children. We are confident that our team will provide your child with a nurturing and inspiring learning experience.
